The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it can be alarmed about the superior quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out sassa status check to your large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area daily. The service point established for intervention activities a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for your office to attend to all people who take a sassa status look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to help the servicing of all clients and boost usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
